NY Standard
Operating Procedure
In accordance with New York State law, all real estate brokers and their associated licensees are required to adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) set forth by their brokerage for handling prospective buyers.

The following SOP applies to all licensed associate real estate brokers and salespersons at YC Real Estate:

-
Prospective buyers are not required to provide identification before being shown a property.

-
Prospective buyers are not obligated to sign an exclusive brokerage agreement prior to viewing a property.

-
Prospective buyers do not need to have mortgage pre-approval before being shown a property.

Please note that, in some cases, the instructions provided by a property owner (seller) or another real estate broker (seller's listing agent) may differ from the SOP outlined above. In such situations, YC Real Estate may be required to follow the seller's or listing agent's instructions, even if they contradict these procedures. Property owners have the right to establish their own qualifying criteria, provided that the criteria are set before soliciting potential buyers or renters, applied consistently and objectively to all, and are non-discriminatory.
